IBC Winner and JUNO Award Nominee, Canadian singer/guitarist JW-Jones tours constantly, and is known for his high-energy show that keeps getting hotter!
Since his first UK tour in spring of 2016, JW Jones has released a new CD called «High Temperature» that won the International Blues Challenge. It was named the Hot Shot Debut on the Billboard Top 10, and has been in the top 2 most-played roots music recordings on radio stations across Canada for 10 weeks. Early last year, George Thorogood & The Destroyers’ management specifically requested Jones to open several of their tour dates, which included standing ovations at legendary venues such as Massey Hall in Toronto, and Ottawa’s National Arts Centre. Jones is a JUNO Award Nominee (the equivalent of the Grammy in USA), tours constantly, and is known for his high-energy live shows. JW has released nine albums, and performed in twenty-three countries and four continents. In 2015/2016, JW played over 100 shows per year, including being invited five times to perform alongside Buddy Guy, and twice with Woodstock legends, Canned Heat. From the ‘High Temperature’ liner notes: «Acclaimed Nashville producer Colin Linden takes Jones into new territory with warm, analog-driven tones, and a wide-range of material. His evolution as a musician and vocalist shine through on this record like never before. Real songs, real playing by real people, and JW is the real deal.» – Chuck Leavell (The Rolling Stones)

The Brian Rawson Band
Around November 2012, a friend of mine posted a clip on Youtube of a blues band he'd just been to see and, after watching it, I decided that I wanted to play in a band just like it but, to do it the way I wanted to, I'd have to start my own. I mentioned to a pal, Jim Keilt (Lonehead) that I was going to try and get some players together and he said, «Jim Carr should be your bass player!»I contacted Jim and drove down to his house with my guitar, two songs I'd written and a packet of Boasters. We ran over the songs and chatted over endless cups of tea and I knew instantly that Jim Keilt was right, Jim Carr should be my bass player!Over the course of a year, we got together in the same manner and worked on the material while, at the same time, increasing McVitie's and Tetley's profits, until it was time to get a full line-up. Rather than wait until we found a singer, we decided to gig with me on vocals and guitar and, when I say «we» decided, I mean Jim did! Over the course of the next few years, we played with
various keyboard players, drummers and singers and now we're ready to enter the next phase of the band's evolution with former GT's Boos Band frontman, Greig Taylor, on vocals and powerhouse drummer, Calum Wilson.Time to get started on our follow-up E.P. I reckon! brianrawsonband.com
