Join us on Monday 31st July for Sports Hero, an evening workshop in varsity and applique patch making.
Growing up in Scotland in the 80/90s the closest thing the Primitive Painters as teens, got to a Letterman jacket, was a St. Michael (that’s Marks and Spencer -to a younger generation) own brand shell suit. While we still swooned when our crush draped that piece of highly flammable garb on our shoulders, it maybe didn’t compare to those iconic Americana scenes from the likes of Grease, Teen Wolf and Saved By The Bell. In tribute to the look and all that itchy wool and in this guided session, for all abilities, create felt patches to decorate your own wears for that sports hero look.
All materials and a variety of templates provided, with the option to work on your own design -learn how to transfer your design to fabric, cut, sew and add decorative touches to your own unique patch. While there will be a focus on classic varsity lettering, you can use your design to celebrate anything. Donuts. Palm leafs. Puppies.
