But what is Sivananda?? Well…
It's a 90min traditional Hatha practice based on the teachings of Swami Sivananda. Class begins with an opening meditation, followed by breathing exercises (pranayama) for increasing your energy and focus, Surya Namaskar (sun-salutations) for warming up followed by a traditional sequence of the basic 12 postures for developing strength and flexibility and finishes with a 15min guided Savasana with autosuggestion bringing a deeply relaxing end to each practice.
The class will be taught by Clara who began her yoga journey in 2001. After practicing various styles of yoga she describes her life-changing experience with Sivananda Yoga as,

She was trained in the Sivananda Lineage of classical Hatha at the Arhanta Yoga Ashram in Khajuraho, India in 2012 and looks forward to helping you develop your practice.
