Join us for a full day of mindfulness practice, entitled «leaning in / sitting with». In the morning we will be focusing on feelings of joy and happiness — recognising that we have enough conditions of happiness in our lives as they are — without needing more possessions, money or material goods. We will explore things that bring us pleasure and joy, looking at both the external and the internal worlds.
After lunch we will focus on the parts of life that we find more difficult and challenging — and having boosted our happiness in the morning, will start to examine how we can sit with these difficulties — without distracting ourselves, suppressing or ignoring them. By learning how to sit with them we can increasae our resilience and ability to manage.
Please bring a vegetarian lunch to share, and if you have specific dietary requirements please cater for yourself accordingly (let me know if there are specific allergies which need to be managed).
You may want to being a yoga mat for additional comfort — the floor can be hard when sitting meditating! Meditation cushions and blankets are provided.
