Live Music Now Scotland is delighted to present another programme of afternoon concerts in partnership with National Museums Scotland, to run during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the largest arts festival in the world.
David Foley & Jack Smedley
Traditional folk duo
David Foley and Jack Smedley form a versatile and dynamic duo featuring fiddle, flute, guitar, bouzouki and bodhran. They studied together at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and have performed and taught across the UK, Europe and America. Both are also members of award winning powerhouse folk act Rura.
The theme for this year’s Free Fringe Music programme of traditional Scottish songs and instrumental sets will be Bonnie Prince Charlie and the Jacobites, tying in with the Museum’s major exhibition, “a compelling story of loyalty, loss, rebellion and retribution”.
