The rocky gorge cut by the river in Stockbridge is one of the only places to see exposed bedrock in Edinburgh. This fascinating walk, led by Beverly Bergman of the Edinburgh Geological Society, provides an opportunity to see a range of geological features, including Carboniferous sedimentary rocks and Igneous Dykes. This walk will also include examples of famous bridge design, and 18th century medicinal wells.
