What: Open Meeting for Samhuinn Fire Festival 2017
Why: Find out how you can be a part of our festival!
When: 12.30pm – 3.30pm on Sunday 27 August 2017
Where: Games Hall, The Crags Centre, 10 Bowmont Pl, Edinburgh EH8 9RY*
[Please note: Our open meeting is an information session for volunteers who want to take part in Samhuinn. It’s not Samhuinn Fire Festival itself – that happens on 31 October.]
Help create our amazing public ritual celebration of the beginning of Winter: if you decide to be a part of it you’ll end up alongside hundreds of other volunteers and in front of an audience of thousands, in the heart of the stunning city of Edinburgh. Whether you’re a long-time BFS member, a seasoned performer or you want to come along for the first time and take part, Samhuinn Fire Festival offers a opportunity to learn new skills, meet new friends and be part of a unique, collaborative experience with a welcoming creative community.
The Open Meeting is a chance to hear about the performance and production groups you can join that make Samhuinn happen, to talk to the organisers, to find out more about the festival and sign up to take part. It’s a great way to get a flavour of our community of volunteers, and the fun you can expect to have as part of it.
If you have any questions or queries, give us a shout at festival[at]beltane[dot]org.
*On venue accessibility
The Crags Centre is all on one level and fully accessible, including entrance, interior, the hall itself and toilets.
