“Astrology in Education”
“Modern” education is based on the “factory model” of education which has its roots in the 19th century industrial revolution. Frustrated with the one-size-fits-all model, Alex wrote “Growing Pains” as a way to both defy experts in the educational field as well as make school a more rewarding experience for pupils and teachers. Using the cycles of Jupiter and Saturn, Alex will demonstrate how authority figures can become stronger role models and therefore be in a better position to help guide the young people in their care around the pitfalls of growing up.
Speaker – Alex Trenoweth
In recent years, Alex Trenoweth has travelled across the world lecturing on the topic of Astrology and Education, based on research from her book “Growing Pains”. Her original and innovative research won her the title of “Best International Astrologer of the Year, 2015” from the Krishnamurti Institute of Astrology (KIA) in Kolkata India. Since then, Alex has worked tirelessly to bring western astrologers to India to take part in KIA conferences, an effort that has seen her rewarded with becoming Secretary General as well as Vice Principal of the organisation. Alex’s new book “The Wolf You Feed” is due for publication later in 2017. This lecture for SAA will be Alex’s last lecture in the UK as she prepares to officially take up her residential roles in Kolkata.
The talk will start promptly at 7.30 pm. Doors open at 7 pm. Please arrive early as this event is sure to be busy.
