There are certain poses that can just become a bit of an enigma. Or maybe they feel like your nemesis. Perhaps you know you have the ability to do them, but there's something standing in your way and you're not sure quite how to overcome it? One of the reasons I think I struggled with Bakasana, or 'Crow' as it's also called, is because there wasn't enough time in class to properly get my head around tackling this posture which is often the first arm balance we learn.
Once I understood what was required both physically and mentally, the posture was no longer a mystery and I was able to work on achieving this posture myself, which became an exploratory journey rather than a frustration.
If you would like to learn the tools to approach Bakasana in a way that will break it down for you and help you work towards achieving this playful pose, then this is the workshop for you. No more being baffled by how you'll ever 'fly like a crow' as once you are aware of some of the steps to work on, the pose can become not only accessible, but quite quickly the gateway to all other arm balances.
What to expect:
An understanding of the anatomy of the asana with an explanation of what is required from the body in order to achieve Bakasana
A dynamic vinyasa practice to prepare the body and awake the power in your core
Some techniques for overcoming the 'fear of flying'
Tools to take away with you in order to continue your journey into Bakasana yourself
Suitable for beginners and anyone wanting to improve their Bakasana.
