On Friday 1st September we will be launching a Crowd-funding Campaign to raise £30,000 throughout September.
This year saw an end to our governmental funding, and we want to raise this money to support and grow the services we run which benefit our community the most.
Raising this money will allow us to:
— expand our free community repair workshops, making repair skills accessible to everyone;
— extend our Laptops for Refugees and Asylum-Seeking Children programme to help even more families and children build a new life in Scotland;
— and help even more people coming out of homelessness who depend on CHAI's furniture recycling service to set up starter homes.
Throughout September we will be sharing stories on our Facebook pages so that you can see the real benefit that your support is providing to others — like and follow this and the Edinburgh Remakery page so you don’t miss out on anything! And please donate and share news of our crowd-funding campaign wherever you can; details of our Justgiving webpage will be released at the launch on 1st September.
With your on-going support, we look forward to developing this story even further with the aim of building a stronger community with zero waste at its heart.
