If you’re curious about printmaking, linocut techniques, rubber stamp making, and the history of bookplates, this is the workshop for you. Cabaret Voltaire will be providing your first tasty tipple (and maybe even a custom drink inspired by tonight’s workshop) and Pop Up! Scotland will be providing all your materials an instruction as we celebrate all things stationery.
This week we'll be revisiting the carving techniques of the week before, teaching any the techniques of rubber stampmaking and handcrafting some unique stamps to take home. All materials and instruction are included to create your bookplate, but you’ll need a big stamp pad at home to mark your home library.
In this second week of the workshop you can finish up your bookplate and learn how to create your own rubber stamps to further personalise your books, create custom stationery, or just add something fun and funky to what you’re working on. It is not necessary to attend both weeks of the workshop, but if you want plenty of time to finish your bookplate and to try your hands at different types of stamp and printmaking, do come along to both!
— Advanced booking with payment via CitizenTicket is recommended to confirm your place. All tickets are £15 (plus online booking fee, half of all CitizenTicket booking fees go to support local charities)
