In partnership with Good Life, Good Death, Good Grief, The Scottish Poetry Library will be creating a space in which we can discuss what we mean by a ‘Good Death’ and how we may plan for one. We will also be looking at how poetry can support and help us in our preparations, providing solace, comfort and a way to remember and be remembered. An informal café style event in which folk can gather to discuss what a good death means to them, with poetry readings, and a chance to share poems around the ideas of a good death. Tea and cake provided. Free event. Booking essential. Please note that the event is restricted to 15 people only, so book sooner rather than later if interested.

The SPL is fully accessible, with a ground-floor entrance and a lift that accesses all three floors. There is one adapted toilet on the basement floor. Guide and hearing dogs are welcome. A portable audio loop is available for single user; if you need a multi-user loops system, please let us know as far as possible in advance. For more about our accessibility, please visit: scottishpoetrylibrary.org.uk/library/find-us
