A note from our funder: «I got a random £200 tax rebate in 2017 for some work done way back in 2011. So I spent it on cryptocurrency and now I'm like, what shall I do with THIS?!»
A one-night festival is the result.

FRANk (STEAkNIFE) DJ set and visuals curated by SUPERMODEL, a new programme of contemporary art and music happening in Edinburgh.
Featuring a heavy dose of blistering analogue synth bass, robo-latino beats and bible-black synthesis. For fans of Jon Hopkins//Holly Herndon//Nathan Fake, albeit being pestered by Fugazi//Liquid Liquid. Expect worrying levels of energy. Exterior the all new electronic project from Edinburgh producer Doug MacDonald.
THE REVERSE ENGINEER
The Reverse Engineer is Dave House, Edinburgh-based musician, sound artist, designer and architect of incredible new album.
Elusive Geometry documents a period of transition, self-(re)discovery and moving on. The title refers to the narratives we construct, cling to and ultimately discard. The album is composed from field recordings, sampled instruments, synthesis and algorithmic percussion. Texture and rhythm is the beating heart of his work, which demonstrates how electronic music can be both acutely danceable and deeply emotive.
New material from Hiva Oa has been a long time coming and their return to Edinburgh from Belfast is a welcome event.
Sometimes, it seems, a period of inactivity is better for a band than one of constant creation. The new Hiva Oa retain the mystery and ambition of their former incarnations, but inject a heavy thrum to their intricate patchwork style, and turn their attentions to themes of fear, loneliness, abandonment and awakening.
The band have become masters of developing atmospheres 'marrying primal, dizzying electronica and swelling bass, with minimal guitar patterns to create a tightly wound, suffocating and intense atmosphere'.
Dark and atmospheric storms of voices and electronics experimenting with pain, love, future, and permanence.
«When I'm alone, I create. It keeps me sane. I made something. Now I'm sick of it but, maybe you'll like it.»
Line Wobbler LED game by Robin Baumgarten brought to us by our friends WeThrowSwitches who run Games are For Everyone, bringing interesting games out from behind closed doors and into event spaces.
DECAGRAM is launching Beer IV — DECADANCE I.P.A. and using stock to pay for the rent of the venue. With thanks also to the Mash House for supporting this idea again.
