The Principal Edinburgh George Street
19-21 George Street, EH2 2PB Edinburgh, United Kingdom
The 14th of February 2018 marks the date of our charity ball — held at the Principal Hotel — in aid of the reconstruction of a primary school in Nepal that was destroyed in the 2015 earthquake. This summer, Edinburgh Global Projects (EGP) is once again working in partnership with KEEP Nepal. Eight of us will be travelling to a rural village in the Dhading district of Nepal (2 hours from Kathmandu) to rebuild and help oversee the reconstruction of the Shree Bageswori primary school for eight weeks (June to August 2018). These children haven’t had access to an education for over 2 years and we think it’s about time that changed!
Part of the evening will be dedicated to a charity raffle in order to raise money to contribute towards the costs of the reconstruction so please do bring cash with you! We are raising money to supply all the necessary materials and skilled labourers to carry out the school’s total reconstruction. We need to raise just under ten thousand pounds to cover all the costs of the reconstruction so any donations (no matter how big or small) are hugely appreciated! All the money raised during the course of the evening will go directly towards funding the reconstruction of the school. Further details about the project and the chance to donate before the event can be found here:
