On Thursday March 15th we will be showcasing and serving up some fantastic Fruit Lambics by Belgium powerhouse Brouwerij Boon

Founded in 1975 by 21 year old Frank Boon this farm brewery located in Lembeek, outside Brussels, produces a small range of traditional world renowned lambics & gueuze beers.

We will be pouring 3 different types of Brouwerij Boon Fruit Lambics on tap:

Kriek Boon / 4.5%ABV

Kriek Boon is a traditional Belgian Lambic fruit-beer. It is brewed according to the traditional Lambic style of spontaneous fermentation. Only fresh cherries (25%) are used. Kriek Boon is slightly sweet, with the surprising natural fragrance of sour cherries and almonds. With only 4% of alcohol it is a perfect summer beer.

Framboise Boon / 5%ABV

Raspberry lambic was once a rarity and only produced for a few weeks during the summer. Frank Boon was the first brewer to again prepare a raspberry lambic in the summer of 1976. More than 300 grams per litre of fresh raspberries give Framboise Boon a fresh fruity taste. The young lambic supports the flavour. But this is very much about raspberries, not the lambic. Of course we do not use artificial flavourings, only real raspberries. Boon Framboise has an alcohol volume of 5%. Drink it when it is young.

Oude Kriek Boon / 6.5%ABV

Oude Kriek Boon is one of the finest examples of the 100% spontaneous fermentation fruit-Lambic style. 400 g of wild cherries per litre are fermented together with a blend of young and old Boon Lambic that has been aged in oak casks. After clarification, the Oude kriek is bottled and refermented. It is unsweetened, unfiltered, unpasteurised and has no artificial flavourings, preservatives or colourings added. Brewed in Lembeek, the village that gave Lambic its name. Pour slowly in a flute glass without disturbing the yeast sediment in the bottle.

Gentleman Sour Ale / Alvinne x Naparbier / 11.5% ABV

Lambics Blanche / Timmermans / 4.5%ABV


As well we will be hosting a guided beer tasting and discussion for any absolute die hards. Kicking off at 7:30pm hosted by in-house beer geek Karan Nagpal who will give an introduction to the Lambic Style beers, history and brewing process and then go straight into a guided tasting. A great opportunity to taste and discuss some excellent Belgium Lambics.
