City of Glass 013:
First show in Edinburgh since supporting Iceage at Summerhall last year.
DTHPDL are a four piece band from Edinburgh mixing an intriguing blend of grunge, weird pop, krautrock, electronica and synth rock melodies. They also wear kimonos on stage, sing about dragons, light and 1920's artists.
In 2016 they released their ep The Future through renowned label Song, by Toad to universal acclaim and were featured by Tom Ravenscroft (BBC 6Music), Vic Galloway (BBC Radio Scotland), Rapid (BBC Scotland), Mike Watt (Minutemen, Stooges, fIREHOSE), The Skinny, The Scotsman, The List, The National and Time Out. They have shared stages with Yak, Iceage, Show Me The Body, Islet, Bonfire Nights a...nd many more.
Their new album will be out in 2018 taking a more electro direction and they will be touring the UK extensively.
Hailing from Glasgow, Savage Mansion are one of the country's best indie rock bands. With an album out later this year after a single through Lost Map in 2017 and an earlier support slot with Frightened Rabbit the year before, expect an excellent set along the Malkmus/Pollard angle of things.
Visiting us from Manchester and celebrating release of their second album, Easter fuse sounds familiar to fans of Built to Spill, Yo La Tengo and Pavement, with a scarily relevant take on the genre. Meander Lines has been a long time coming, but that's only heightened anticipation for it.
'A welcome throwback to the wry, self-lacerating alt.rock of the early 90s'
Self-described as 'music your pets might like', Moonsoup played their first show supporting RM Hubbert in February and will be great.
