“Through the eyes of Scotland's Refugees” is an art exhibition that creates a platform for refugees in Scotland to share their voices.
The multimedia artwork that will be displayed is inspired by interviews with local refugees and asylum seekers, who have shared their experiences of resettlement in Scotland. By sharing their stories, hopes and ambitions, we hope to raise awareness about the challenges and opportunities facing refugees today and encourage welcoming attitudes towards their resettlement here.
Entry is on a donation basis and there will be opportunity to bid on the artwork in a silent auction. All proceeds of the event will go to two charities supporting refugees living in Scotland:
Bikes for R...efugees
Refugee Survival Trust
COLOURS (Collecting Lost Or Underrepresented Refugee Stories) is a group of 20 multicultural students in Edinburgh that are passionate about social justice and raising awareness of the problems faced by refugees in the UK through art, storytelling and photography.
