Their style has been compared to a mix of Tom Waits, Roscoe Holcomb, Muddy Waters, and The Pogues.
Ol’ Savannah has made multiple appearances on Halifax, Nova Scotia’s waterfront as part of the Halifax International Busker Festival. In 2012 and 2014, the group participated at the Fringe Festival in Montreal. Ol’ Savannah received an honorable mention at the festival’s 2014 Frankie Awards for Greenland Productions’ music award. Other notable festival appearances in Canada and the U.S. include the Montreal Folk Festival on the Canal, Paddlefest (St. Andrews, New Brunswick), and Summer on the Hudson (New York City).
