Come experience the transformational sound of the Gongs with powerful Kundalini Yoga practices taught by a master teacher of the Gong.
Mehtab Benton from the USA, trained by Yogi Bhajan in the art of Kundalini Yoga and the author of Gong Yoga: Healing and Enlightenment through Sound and Gong Therapy: Sound Healing and Yoga, will guide you through a series of meditations and ancient Kundalini Yoga kriyas that use the Sound of the Gong extensively to achieve deep healing, release, and relaxation.
In this immersion, you will experience how the practice of yoga is magnified and multiplied when accompanied by the Gong. We end our evening journey with a 45 minute guided relaxation (yoga nidra) that allows you to merge with the sound of the gong in a way that is rarely ever experienced.
Mehtab is a life-long practitioner of Kundalini Yoga and an internationally renowned Gong teacher. He leads Kundalini Yoga teacher trainings throughout North America and conducts gong trainings in the United States, South America, Europe, Asia and Australia.
Mehtab began his studies with Yogi Bhajan in 1973 in San Rafael California where used the techniques of Kundalini Yoga in the ashram’s drug rehabilitation program and later attended the first yoga teacher training course personally taught by Yogi Bhajan, the Master’s Touch. As a KRI Lead Trainer, he has trained hundreds of Kundalini Yoga teachers and received the Kundalini Yoga Teacher of the Year Award as well as the International Kundalini Yoga Teachers’ Association award for “Building Yoga Communities.”
Mehtab is the originator and author of Gong Yoga, the first book and course on using the gong with the practices of yoga and meditation. His book, Teaching Gong Yoga, has been used in yoga teacher training classes by teachers of all disciplines, and his book Gong Therapy has provided the foundation for teaching sound healers, healing professionals, and yoga teachers how to use the gong therapeutically.
