An open invitation to young people aged between the ages of 14-26!
Come along to our dance and storytelling workshop — meet the artists and find out how YOU can get involved in CHRONICLES, a new collaborative performance project by Project X and the National Theatre of Scotland.
CHRONICLES will bring together music, movement and storytelling to create a guided tour of the National Museum of Scotland with a twist. We want to collaborate with young people from across Edinburgh to uncover the hidden histories of the museum.
You, as a young person, are a Young Expert in your own lived experience and heritage. We would like to work together with a team of curious Young Experts to explore visibility and invisibility, bringing together artefacts, artworks, photography, masks, storytelling, music and movement.
This will create CHRONICLES, an alternative audio guide performance through Edinburgh’s National Museum of Scotland as you’ve never experienced it before; uncovering hidden and imagined histories underneath the surface of what we think we know…
We're hosting a taster workshop for curious Young Experts on Saturday 16th June, 12:30-2pm at Leith Dockers Club, 17-17a Academy St, Edinburgh EH6 7EE.
Just turn up- No previous performance experience necessary!
We welcome young people living in Edinburgh from all abilities, backgrounds and identities encouraging those who identify as being Black, Minority Ethnic (BME) and/+ People of Colour (POC).
We will be running further taster workshops during the summer if you can't make it along on the 16th, get in touch for more info: [email protected]
